Volunteer Opportunities

We need volunteers to make the 39th Annual Crescent Hill 4th of July Festival a Success!

 

DATES & TIMES

                            Monday, July 3      4 pm to 10 pm

                            Tuesday, July 4      10 am to 10 pm - with FIREWORKS at 10 pm!

 

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS

Most volunteer shifts are 3 hours long

 

VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENTS

Artist Check-In:  Greet Artist. Tell them booth location.  Share general event information.

 

Artist Hospitality: Staff booth. Refresh snacks. Share general event information.

 

Cake Wheel & Prize Booth:  Staff booth. Spin wheel. Call out winning number. Give out prizes. 
This is a good volunteer opportunity for families or youth volunteer with guardian.

 

Children’s Fun Zone:  Staff Inflatables and other children-friendly activities. Take Tickets.  This is a good volunteer opportunity for families or youth volunteer with guardian.

 

Food Booth: Take orders. Serve drinks and food. 

This is a good volunteer opportunity for families or youth volunteer with guardian.

 

Food Booth Grill Master:  Cook hotdogs and brats on the grill in the Food Booth.

 

History Display:  Share neighborhood history. This feature is inside the Peterson-Dumesnil House.

 

Pet Contest:  Sign up contestants. Give out prizes. Help with set up

 

Event Ambassadors: Hand out programs. Share general event information.  T

his is a good volunteer opportunity for families or youth volunteer with guardian.

 

Information/Membership Booth: Staff booth. Share general event information. 

 

Children’s Field Games:  Assist the leader with fun, free games for the kids, like sack races, hula hoop contest, water balloon toss, etc. 

High School Students and sports teams might be good volunteers for these games!

 

FAMILY FRIENDLY

Youth ages 16-21 are welcome to volunteer without a parent.  Youth 10-16 should sign up with parent or guardian.  Check volunteer opportunity job descriptions for most family-friendly shifts.

 

VOLUNTEER CHECK IN

All volunteers are asked to sign in at the Information booth 15 minutes before their shift.

 

VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION & APPRECIATION DINNER

All volunteers are invited to attend the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, June 29 at 6 pm.   Volunteers will have the opportunity to meet the event chairs, get an overview of the festival activities and meet other volunteers!

 

VOLUNTEER DRESS

Put on your patriotic clothing and dress for the weather! It could be hot, rainy or beautiful weather.  Wear comfortable shoes.  Bring sun screen, bug spray and water bottle.  Put picnic spending money in your pocket and leave purses in your car trunk.
