Tree Program celebrates record-breaking year

Volunteer “Tree Time” Tim Allen plants 14 trees

Crescent Hill Community Council members were able to obtain trees at 50% off retail this year, in part, because of a $500 matching grant from LG&E and Kentucky Utilities. LG&E partnered with the U.N.’s Plant For The Planet: Billion Tree Campaign. The grant covered half of the cost of ten trees and your Community Council paid half of the cost of the other four. Awareness of this opportunity was created through the newsletter, the website and an email blast.

See the complete details on the Beautification Committee page.

Special thanks to our partner, LG&E.
