Lexington/Grinstead Zoning Change – Follow Up Public Charrette – 9/26 & 9/28

There are two Public Charrettes schedule for the property at the corner of Lexington Road and Grinstead Avenue. The meetings will be held on Monday, September 26th and Wednesday, September 28th, both beginning at 7:00 pm. Both will be held at the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana Learning Center located at 2115 Lexington Blvd.


It is critical that the neighborhood have a very strong representation at these meetings. Please plan to attend one of the meetings.


These meetings are a follow up to the public charrettes held on June 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. The follow up charrettes will involve a discussion of issues previously raised at the charrettes in June plus a presentation and discussion of updated plans and building designs.


The original proposal included 3 towers (30 – 40 stories each), 240 hotel rooms, 700 apartments, 100,000 sq ft office space, 50,000 sq ft retail space, and 2,400 parking spaces.


The Zoning change request is from C-2 to Planned Development District (“PDD”) consisting of mixed residential, office, retail and restaurant on 3.32 +/- acres at the intersection of Lexington Road and Grinstead Drive, specifically, 2294, 2300, 2338 & 2340 Lexington Road and 2501, 2503, 2509, 2511 & 2515 Grinstead Drive.
