Greetings from The Avenue!

July 2012

Dear FABA Members,

These are exciting and important times for Frankfort Avenue. As the newly elected President and as a relatively new business and property owner on The Avenue, I am deeply honored and humbled to be spearheading this organization. The vibrancy and potential opportunities presented on The Avenue were the deciding factors for The Comfy Cow to select Frankfort Avenue as our new location. So many dedicated business owners, volunteers, and neighborhood residents have worked diligently over the years to make Frankfort Avenue the absolute best place to enjoy a great diversity of restaurants, unique shops, and services.

As we look toward to the future of The Avenue, our organization is engaging in an incredible and exciting rebranding effort, complete with a new logo (see above), new banners, new map and directory, and even a new tag line, “Find your Fun on Frankfort”.  FABA members’ future opportunity for success rests in the hands of all of us, not only businesses, but residents of this community as well. There are a whole lot of behind the scenes efforts (and dollars) that go into some of our treasured neighborhood events like Olde Tyme Christmas, the Easter Parade, and of course Trolley Hop. This year, as we begin our membership drive, we will be introducing a new Friend of FABA membership available for just $25 which would give neighborhood residents a chance to participate and support our efforts to continue our valued traditions while creating new ones for tomorrow’s generations.  I am personally committed to reminding all of Louisville about what a gem we have right here, and I believe with everyone’s help, we can continue to grow, evolve and consistently raise the bar.

I, along with our Board of Directors, members and volunteers, promise to continue working as hard as is needed to keep The Avenue a destination spot for both locals and out of town travelers.
