Every year, a crowd favorite of our 4th of July Festival is the “Ridiculously Popular Pet Show & Contest.” This year was no exception.

Cunning canines competed in 7 categories to win gift cards from Feeders Supply and the adoration of the crowd. There were no kitty entries, so two lucky doggies shared the title “Most Precious Pup.”

The Ridiculously Popular Pet Show & Contest Winners for 2013 Were . . .

MOST PRECIOUS PUPS
Indy (CJ Parrish & David Williamson)
Sabrina (shown by Renate)

BEST PET TALENT
Apollo (shown by Jessie Biggs-Penton)

PET/OWNER LOOK-ALIKE
Copper (shown by Mya Cummins)

MOST PATRIOTIC
Lola (shown by Scarlet Hawpe)

MOST ADORABLE ADOPTION & OVERALL WINNER!
Louis (shown by Peyton & Terri Hoge)

MOST UNIQUE
Bear (shown by Drew Shryock)

Special thanks to Pet Show sponsors:
  • Louisville Metro Animal Services,
  • KY Humane Society, and
  • Feeders Supply!
The difficult task of judging was handled with grace by Alisa Oerther, LMAS Community Engagement Coordinator, and returning judge Emily Clement from the KHS Snip Clinic.

And, of course, the show couldn’t go on without our own intrepid emcee for many years, Tara Bassett!
