There are some “new kids on the block!” The Crescent Hill Community Foundation welcomes Rich and Cheri Gering to our neighborhood. Rich is the new resident caretaker of the Peterson-Dumesnil House. His wife Cheri can always be found close by. Anyone walking by our grand Landmark neighborhood house has probably noticed activity in and around the carriage house as the Gerings have been settling in and working on the grounds. If you see them outside, please take a minute to extend a warm welcome.

Rich replaces Joe Winkie who recently retired. Joe served as resident caretaker for 25 years. He and his wife, Alice, took pride in Joe’s position and work at the House. They will be missed.

A commemorative plaque has been placed on the outside of the carriage house in honor of the Winkies’ long and excellent service.
